Application Scenarios and Usage Methods for ABS Edge Banding

ABS edge banding is widely used for panel furniture, cabinetry, and doors and windows, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring high edge strength. Application involves using hot-melt or specialized adhesive; an edge-banding machine applies heat and pressure to fuse the banding seamlessly with the panel edge.

 

Precise temperature control (typically 180–220°C) is essential during application to prevent deformation of the banding or carbonization of the adhesive. For manual application, using an iron or a specialized heat gun for auxiliary heating-combined with a pressure roller to ensure a firm bond-is recommended. For routine maintenance, wipe the surface with a damp cloth and avoid using sharp tools that could scratch the finish.
