Introduction to ABS Edge Banding

ABS resin is one of the most advanced materials available internationally. Edge banding made from this material contains no calcium carbonate; after trimming, the edges appear translucent and smooth, with absolutely no whitening. However, with a market price of approximately 12,800 RMB per ton, production costs are high, resulting in a market price roughly double that of equivalent PVC edge banding.

 

Finger-jointed real wood veneer edge banding is primarily used for wood-veneered furniture. To enhance strength and prevent cracking, a non-woven fabric backing is applied to the veneer. Supplied in 200-meter rolls, the product allows for continuous use on edge-banding machines, thereby improving efficiency and ensuring clean, neat trimming-effectively overcoming the drawbacks associated with using individual strips of wood veneer.
