EVA Hot Melt Adhesive for Edge Banding is a hot melt adhesive specifically designed for edge banding processes in panel furniture. It is the longest-used, most technologically mature, and most cost-effective adhesive type in the edge banding field, compatible with fully automatic straight-line edge banding machines, semi-automatic edge banding machines, and manual irons. Its core performance indicators include: viscosity (determining flowability), open time (effective bonding window after application), curing speed (cooling and setting time), heat resistance (softening point), and bond strength. It is an indispensable auxiliary material in the production of panel furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, and office furniture.

• Controllable Bonding Strength: 180° peel strength reaches 30-60N/25mm (depending on the substrate and edge banding strip type), meeting the standard edge banding strength requirements for furniture and preventing delamination.
• Balanced Open Time and Curing Speed: Open time 10-30 seconds (effective window from adhesive application to bonding), curing speed 5-15 seconds (from bonding to bearing weight), compatible with different line-speed edge banding machines.
• Excellent Wetting Properties: Low surface tension in the molten state, effectively wetting the cut surfaces of boards (particleboard, MDF, plywood) and the back coating of the edge banding strip, forming a tight contact.
• Color Matching Adhesive Lines: Available in a variety of colors including transparent, milky white, light yellow, dark brown, black, and gray. Choosing an adhesive color similar to the edge banding strip or board can reduce the visual impact of adhesive lines.

• Appearance Identification: High-quality glue granules are regular spherical or cylindrical, uniform in size, without powder or lumps; low-quality glue granules are inconsistent in size, contain many fragments, and are grayish or dull in color.
• Odor Identification: When heated and melted, high-quality glue has a slight waxy fragrance and no irritating odor; low-quality glue often has a sour, burnt, or pungent chemical smell (possibly due to the addition of recycled materials).
• Stringing Test: Dip a wooden stick into the molten glue and lift it up. High-quality glue produces short strings (≤10cm) that break easily; low-quality glue produces long, unbroken strings (affecting the cleaning of the edge banding machine).
• Carbonization Test: Set the glue temperature to 190℃ and hold for 4 hours. High-quality glue shows no obvious carbonization skin on the surface; low-quality glue easily forms a skin, turns black, and produces burnt particles that contaminate the board.
• Storage Requirements: Store in a cool, dry place (≤40℃), avoiding direct sunlight and high temperatures; after opening, it must be sealed to prevent moisture (moisture will cause bubbling during melting and reduced adhesion).
